WHO AM I?

My name is Vanessa

I grew up in Lesotho, a nation known from its resilience, its stunning highlands, and culture that values peace and community.

My academic journey is defined by a truly international perspective. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Physical Culture from the Universidad de Ciencias de la Cultura Física y el Deporte ‘Manuel Fajardo’ in Havana, Cuba. Building on that foundation, I am currently completing my Master’s in Governance and Administration of Leisure and Sports (GOALS). As part of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus program, this degree has taken me across Europe, with intensive studies at the Université de Lille in France and Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland and LUNEX in Luxembourg.

A Multidisciplinary Expert

From coordinating global sports events to crafting business strategies, I take a multidisciplinary approach to the industry. I complement my strategic training in event management with a passion for public speaking and content creation, ensuring that every sporting initiative is not just well-organized, but also has a powerful narrative.”

Beyond the professional realm

I am a massive and lifelong cinema and High Fantasy Nerd

In my free time, you’ll likely find me lost in a Brandon Sanderson novel or a cult classic. I’ve realized that the creation of sports events is actually a masterclass in storytelling. I draw inspiration from these fictional worlds to better expose athletic talent on the world stage, emphasizing the grit, intensity, and drama through media.

“And so, does the destination matter? Or is it the path we take? I declare that no accomplishment has substance nearly as great as the road used to achieve it. We are not creatures of destinations. It is the journey that shapes us. Our callused feet, our backs strong from carrying the weight of our travels, our eyes open with the fresh delight of experiences lived.”
-Brandon Sanderson from The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive Series)
